“I’ve always been singing and dancing since I was little.”- said by the famous Lindsay Lohan when asked if she really want to pursue her signing career. She was born on July 2, 1986 and although she is an actress, she is also known as a pop music singer. One of her famous single is entitled Confession of a Broken Heart. She was born in a comfortable family in terms of resources and she had three younger siblings - Michael, Aliana (Ali), and Dakota (Cody).
Lindsay Lohan had the inclination to enter the said industry at a young age. Lindsay started her career as a child fashion model for both television commercials and magazine advertisement. Although she had only a few offers, she persisted and eventually appeared to over 100 print ads for Toys “R” US. She also modeled for Abercrombie Kids, and Calvin Klein Kids. And although she’s still young, she had her way and was even featured on adult magazines like Elle, Bliss (UK), Vogue, Blenda (Japan) and many more. She studied on public schools on Long Island which include Sanford H. Calhoun High School and because of her busy schedule; she managed to finish her studies at home through Laurel Springs School located at Ojai, California.
As she grows up, she started to build a name in the industry. She was the main cast of the movie Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen where she plays as Mary “Lola” Steppe. Moreover, she also played as one of the leading cast in Mean Girls. She played the role of Cady here who was the girl who uttered the famous quote “Calling somebody else fat won’t make you any skinnier. Calling someone stupid doesn’t make you any smarter.” Because of the success of this film, she begin to be recognized in the industry which pave her way to host in the 2004 MTV Movie Awards by where she also won for the Female Breakout Star.
Wanting to be a jack of all trades, she started to show the crowd that she is not merely an actress but someone who can combine acting with singing and so she tried to showcase her singing talent to the movies she makes. Because she sings well, Casablanca Records headed by Tommy Mottola had convinced her to sign for a recording contract. It was in December of 2004 when her first debut album Speak was released. After then, her second album was launched in the market which was entitled A Little More Personal which debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart. However, after few weeks it was among the top 100. Now, she’s working on her third album which hopefully will be released in mid 2008. Most of her songs bring the story of her young life and because her music carries out the message of her life, they had become a hit among teenagers that could relate in everything that she went through not to mention all the abuses she gets from her father.
